Local students (grades K-12) are invited to audition for Missoula Children’s Theatre’s October 9 production of The Princess and the Pea. Young thespians can join in an unforgettable, fun, confidence-building experience and become performers in just one week. For more information, call 985-543-4366 after September 15.
A special screening of “The Little Red Truck,” the award-winning documentary about Missoula Children’s Theatre will be shown for parents in Columbia’s Hainkel Hall during auditions.
Then and Now Series: Samantha Perez and Joshua Robin

“Louisiana’s Lost Treasure: The Isleños” (documentary film)
History major Samantha Perez and Communication major Joshua Robin will premier their documentary film about the history and culture of the Isleños population in St. Bernard Parish. They created the film during the 2009 spring semester in a first-ever joint independent study class directed by Communication and History faculty. The Isleños originally migrated from Spain to the Canary Islands and later moved to Louisiana, where they are an important part of local culture. Reception to follow.
