Louisiana Public Broadcasting in collaboration with the Columbia Theatre in Hammond present a preview on Thursday, October 6 of HAMILTON'S AMERICA and the PBS ARTS FALL FILM FESTIVAL. The event will take place from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm at the Columbia Theatre and will include a 30 minute excerpt of HAMILTON'S AMERICA, as well as a preview of the remaining Arts Festival line-up. Special guests from Center Stage Performing Arts Academy in Gonzales will perform musical theatre inspired by HAMILTON'S AMERICA. The event is free and open to the public.

Lynn Trefzger is a comedic ventriloquist with a box full of amusing characters that have stuck by her side as she toured the country. Campus Activities Magazine named her the Funniest Female Performer in 2006 and the following year she was crowned the Funniest Female by American Entertainment Magazine. Her one of a kind audience interplay is riotously funny, and her performances are fit for both family and adult audiences. She has appeared on ABC, TNN, A&E, Lifetime Television, and now we have the pleasure of having her appear here at the Columbia.

When Captain Hook sends his right-hand man Smee on a quest to capture Peter Pan, it's seemingly business as usual...at first. Little does Hook realize fantastic adventures await him and his pirate posse in their search for the elusive Peter Pan. 

The unique Missoula Children's Theatre Tour Project is the largest touring children's theatre program in the United States. Each week, up to 45 teams of 2 tour actors/directors travel to a new town. They audition and cast 50-60 local children in an original musical production, run rehearsals, and teach workshops. By the end of the week they perform a full-scale musical with the cast including full costumes, sets, lights and props that the directors bring along with them.

The Baltimore Sun praised them for combining "smoothly meshed technique with a sense of spontaneity and discovery." Violinists Nicholas Tavani and Rachel Shapiro, violist Gregory Luce, and cellist Alan Richardson formed the Aeolus Quartet in 2008 at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Since then, the group has been awarded prizes at nearly every major competion in the country and have performed across the world. Their use of timeless masterworks and new cutting-edge works attract diverse and fresh audiences.

Murder on the Nile, Agatha Christie's own staging of her famous novel, Death on the Nile, is set on a paddle steamer crusing the legendary Nile River in 1940's Egypt. The passengers aboard are abuzz when the famous heiress, Kay Ridgeway, and her penniless new husband, Simon Mostyn board the ship. Class, money and reputation are all at stake in one way or another for the passengers and before they know it deceit, theft and murder quickly make waves on the river. A host of colorful and mysterious characters add to the drama and suspense of this classic Agatha Christie mystery.

Eisenhower Dance has spent  the last 25 years giving life to the repertoire of internationally known choreographers, as well as the highly acclaimed work of Artistic Director Laurie Eisenhower. Established in Detroit by Eisenhower in 1991, the Company presents an annual subscription series and tours internationally.

Eisenhower has produced several full-evening productions including Motown in Motion, The Rite of Spring, and the most recent, The Light Show, which combines four choreographers and light designers for a visually stunning performance.
